The new Tudor watches 2022: The Black Bay Pro and much more

The Geneva manufacturer has unveiled many exciting novelties in this Watches and Wonders 2022 edition, including a complete brand new GMT, the Tudor Black Bay Pro.

The new Black Bay Pro features the Manufacture Calibre MT5652 with GMT function, the movement, already used in other references across Tudor’s GMT line ensures a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. Outfitted with a 24-hour bezel, matt black dial and a 39mm case that combines satined and brushed finishings, the new Black Bay Pro comes with different bracelet variations that range from a riveted steel bracelet, to a NATO strap or a hybrid rubber and leather strap with steel folding clasp.

Tudor has enhanced their Black Bay GMT line with the addition of precious metals in the new Black Bay GMT S&G. The novelty features the notorious “root beer” colors in its 24-hour bidirectional rotating bezel which blend in to perfection with the yellow gold touches across the crown, numerals and hands. The Black Bay GMT S&G displays a matt black dial and comes in a 41mm case and it’s powered by the Manufacture Calibre MT5652 mentioned above. 

The watch can be acquired with three different bracelet options: riveted steel and gold bracelet, brown leather strap and NATO strap.

Whilst we had already seen two-tone watches in their Black Bay Chrono collection, this time around Tudor is introducing a domed champagne dial with black counters, as opposed to the pre-existing references in the collection. The new S&G Black Bay Chrono is equipped with the Manufacture Calibre MT5813, with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours and features the date window at 6 o’clock for a nice, symmetrical appearance.

These S&G novelties set Tudor’s tool watch spirit slightly aside to embrace a more refined and versatile look.This is the first time that the Black Bay lines features a polished yellow gold bezel and crown, as opposed to the brand’s usual preference for satin-brushed for a matt finish in their precious metals. 

The dial options are ample, with silver and black sunray dials, which will also be offered in a version with diamond-set hour markers. 

The new Black Bays are powered by the newly introduced manufacture Calibre MT5201 for the smaller models, The MT54 movement for medium watches and the MT56 for larger references. Both the MT54 and MT56 movements count with an approximate 70 hours power reserve. The MT5201 calibre counts with up to 50 hours power reserve.

RRPs from 4.750 € to 7.180 €

The Royal line adds two new references in steel and S&G cases. Both feature mother of pearl diamond-set dials with applied Roman numerals and date window at 3 o’clock. The bezels themselves count with 60 diamonds, adding yet another touch of distinction to the watches.
