This model is limited to 1,965 pieces worldwide.
This limited edition model replicates the case size of Japan’s first ever diver’s watch made by Seiko back in 1965. The original was an automatic mechanical watch with a water resistance of 150m and initiated subsequent Seiko diving watch designs. The original watch was worn by explorers on the Antartic Research Expedition, whilst later versions accompanied many other adventures including treks to the North and South Poles, and summits of Mount Everest. It has proved itself as a robust, reliable and durable watch in any environment.
The watch successfully portrays the style of the 1960s, whilst being thoroughly modernised through its highly accurate in-house 6L37 calibre – a brand new calibre which has allowed the case to revert to its original 38mm size.
Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.
